Our learning center will keep your little ones entertained and well-nurtured the whole time. It is also a good idea to get into contact with our staff before your child's first day and let them know how often you would like to be updated on how your child is doing. If there are any problems throughout the day our staff will not hesitate to call. You and the staff should also be aware of how your child could react to being away from their guardian for a whole day. Further, you may have to plan to stay longer the first day in case your child suffers from any separation anxiety. You should talk with your child before their first day as well and explain to them what the learning center will be like and what they will do as well. Finally, it may help to bring one of your child's closest belongings to the learning center, such as a stuffed animal or blanket that will allow them to feel more comfortable and safe.

  • Can you tell me about your staff at Little Peoples Workshop?

    The staff here at Little Peoples Workshop is outstanding with children! They will treat your child as if it's their own. Each and every teacher at our learning center is certified by the state of Louisiana. Our staff is responsible for supervising and monitoring the safety of your children, preparing and organizing meals, making sure your children keep good hygiene, changing diapers for infants and toddlers, organizing activities that allow the children to learn about the world and explore their interests, developing schedules and routines, watching for potential emotional development problems to warn guardians about, and keeping records of all the children's progress in the learning center. The staff in charge of infants and toddlers will read, play, and take care of them while teaching them basics such as sharing with other children. On the other hand, the staff in charge of the preschoolers are responsible for preparing the children for kindergarten. They will be taught language, vocabulary, social skills, math skills, and artistic ability to ensure that they are more than prepared. 

  • What age groups do you accept?

    We accept any age from under one year of age to Pre-K children up to four years old. We have three different programs that you can enroll your child in. Our programs are infant care and development, toddler care and development, and a preschool program. We welcome all children until we fill up at our maximum capacity of 42 children. We set this limit to ensure that your children are getting the attention they deserve along with a sufficient amount of one-on-one time. With each child, our goal is to plan our curriculum according to specific goals for each age, while incorporating fun at the same time. We serve children within a 10-15 mile location of our location.
